About Hysterica Dance Company
Layer upon layer of excess encrusts the dancers, creating stifling individual cocoons, which are peeled away to reveal the beautiful weight and reality of the human form. Working together on "Crust,” Hysterica's co-artistic directors Kitty McNamee and Ryan Heffington create a world of excess, illusion and heightened glamour. The challenge is to deconstruct the glamour/chaos that surrounds us in hopes of grounding ourselves in meaning, purpose and deepening emotional involvement.
