About Grand Motel
Golden Globe nominee and British Academy Award-winner Dennis Christopher stars as a washed-up, degenerate playwright from the South, who, having fled disastrous out-of-town previews for his new play, checks into a Palm Springs gay motel to have a nervous breakdown only to find a kindred spirit by the pool in the form of a fucked up former male model with secrets. Grand Motel: a lonely place where even clothing is optional in this world premiere from writer/director Michael Sargent and artistic director/designer Chris Covics, the team behind last year’s controversial Torn between 2 Bitches. Plays February 13th through March 28th at Unknown Theater featuring company members Bruce Adel, Erik Hanson, Shannon Holt, Andy Hopper, Craig Johnson, Nick Soper, Nathaniel Stanton. Bringing the world of the play to life are Chris Covics (sets & lights), Paul Bertin (sound), and Anastasia Arten (costumes). The stage managers are Rebecca Balin and Caitllin Carlton.
