Bret Jensens Death Valley Jubilee
http://www.myspace.com/bretjensensongs

On a graceful day early in 2008 several friends were invited, by Aaron Gilman of Revolt Music Unlimited, to spend some time together at a recording studio in California. 7 of the 8 invited attendees arrived, one at a time on horseback, mule, buggies, and wagons. We ate, drank and made merry. Soon enough there were microphones on stands, thanks to Paul Bessone, and music in the air. A red light that said "recording" silenced the onlookers. All distractions had been tucked away when Robert "Doc" Dill counted, 1, 2, 3, 4. Jeff "Jack Rabbit" LeGore’s bass groaned a low moan and the guitars of Bret "Nevada" Jensen and L. Cedeno grabbed the voices about to be heard. First to sing was Joan "Juanes" Jones, then accompanied by L.Cedeno and "Nevada". Pretty soon it was the organ sounds coming from John "Bird" Bird’s vintage Fender that stopped the hearts long enough to take a breath. And a band was born, Bret Jensen’s Death Valley Jubilee.

Born in Colorado, and raised in Belgium and Massachusetts, Chris was drawn at an early age to music by the likes of Elton John, Cat Stevens and Neil Young. By his late teens, Chris had picked up the guitar, and soon after began to develop his own songwriting skills. Chris found himself relishing in its dual worlds of spiritual fulfillment and frustration, unknowingly transforming a hobby into a passion.

"...if you're ready to immerse yourself in something enormous, this might just be your band. This is more of an experience than a collection of tracks put together on a disc. Courtney Chambers

WHO? C O U R T N E Y C H A M B E R S I always knew I wanted to do music. From the time I was born I was screaming a melody. When I was a little girl, my father would tell people I was going to be a singer one day, I would emphatically interject with “No dad, I’m going to be a music artist!”. Somehow even at that age, being called a singer sounded like I was going to end up a lounge act in Vegas and I knew I wanted to do more than just sing music, I wanted to create it. I wrote my first song when I was 10 and continued to write throughout high school, but had little interest in getting involved in choir or band, I sort of kept to myself musically. When I went to college I suffered from temporary insanity and thought I’d go to school to become a psychologist, but after dating a nutjob, I decided music was my destiny and went for my dream and studied music at Fullerton College as a voice major. I’m really glad I changed my mind. In 1996, I started performing locally throughout LA and OC and in 2001 released my first record “Imperfect Like Me”. After a year, I already had the music for my next record and decided to put together a band for this one and in 2004 I released my sophomore album “Higher Places”. But by the time I had released the record, so much music for the next record was pouring out of me already and I was anxious to get back to the studio. This time I recruited the help of Sean Hoffman (of American Music Club) to produce my next endeavor.. I was stretched musically, emotionally and mentally, but every drop of blood was well worth it and in 2007 released my 3rd album “Bigger & Brighter”. With the aid of my good friends and bandmates, Jeff Hawley on bass, Mel Flores on drums and percussion as well as Sean on guitar and keys, the songs came together and came to life. Those who have moved me and influenced my work over the years: Patty Griffin, Sarah McLachlan, Neil Young, Jeff Buckley, Aretha Franklin, CCR, Our Lady Peace, Peter Gabriel, Beethoven, Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, and Radiohead just to name a few. So what are my plans? To keep making music until the wheels fall off.

Crescendo
http://www.myspace.com/crescendo

Crescendo was formed in 2004 including singer/songwriter, Kelvin Sabando, bassist, Altair Padilla, and drummer, Adam Cuadras. Since then they have undergone many obstacles obtaining a solid guitarist. Growing and learning the basics of the music industry, they now have a solid band including their newest member, Thomas Pena, on lead guitar. Their sound covers: pop melodies/harmonies, Latin and experimental bass/drum rhythms, and heavy/experimental, funk rock guitar with classical/Spanish overtones. They are influenced by a wide array of music. They have been compared to the Mars Volta, Muse, Incubus and Rage Against the Machine. They are currently in process of recording for their first album. A self-produced, currently untitled 11-track LP. More information coming soon!

Dirty Little Billy
http://www.myspace.com/dirtylittlebilly

I am a singer/songwriter in L.A. I have lived here for five years and I really like it. The aspects of L.A. that upset people and intimidate people do not have an affect on me. Everyone warned me of the competition that exists in L.A.; it doesn't shake me, I don't consider it, ever!!! I attended music school for a short time and learned some valuable skills, but for the most part, I realized how hard it is for us to be ourselves. It seems as though we are all turning into each other. I know how hard it is to be different in this world. I think we try too hard. I write songs that are just my songs and it's good... to me. I write on the piano but I do not play well enough to perform. I have been lucky enough to find incredible musicians that helped me form the band Dirty Little Billy.
